  • Does the office type affect productivity? 2012-01-26 During the spring the study "Office type, health and productivity" will be conducted at Stress Research Institute. The researchers will study how different office forms, with a focus on open-plan offices, affects the employees and the productivity during various conditions. The results are expected to contribute to extended knowledge of the connection between office type and health, along with how aspects in the physical environment interact with leadership and employees personal preferences.
  • SLOSH – Long-term research for a better working life 2012-01-25 SLOSH, a long term project on changes in working life, work environment, stress and well-being, has been in progress since 2006 at Stress Research Institute at Stockholm University. The ambition is to understand more about work-related ill health and ultimately contribute to a better working environment both in Sweden and worldwide. New questionnaires will be sent out this spring to participants in SLOSH.
  • Stress, work and health – a leading research area 2012-01-25 Stress, work and health is since 2011 one of Stockholm University's so-called profile areas. The research in the areas that the University prioritize as top research areas, are considered to be top areas nationally and have a high status internationally. The field Stress, work and health spans across Stress Research Institute, Department of Psychology and Stockholm Stress Center.
  • Girls are particularly affected by the harmful stress increasing among adolescents 2012-01-25 Stress-related problems are increasing among Swedish adolescents, and girls are particularly affected. This is shown in a study made by Stress Research Institute that's been published in the scientific Journal of adolescence.
  • Increased flight safety by anticipating fatigue in the crew 2012-01-25 At Stress Research Institute a Vinnova-funded project is now launching to evaluate and develop tools for fatigue prediction for use by aircraft operators when planning schedules. An increasing use of these tools is expected to improve aviation safety, thereby reducing the risk of accidents associated with the flight crew being tired.
